Robert W. Rasmussen, 74, of Janesville died October 26, 2017 at his home with his family by his side. He was born on January 3, 1943 in Dodgeville, WI, the son of Audley and Ina (Harris) Rasmussen. He graduated from Beloit Memorial High School. Robert served in the U. S. Army from March 6, 1967 to March 5, 1969. He was formerly employed by Beloit Corporation/Primecast as a pattern custodian. He was a member of the Beloit Corp. Quarter Century Club and First Lutheran Church, Janesville. He enjoyed bowling, sports, playing cards and cherished time with his family and friends.
Robert is survived by his wife, Phyllis whom he married on July 12, 1980, 2 daughters, Robin (Bill) Mansfield and Alyssa (Mike) Rasmussen, 6 grandchildren, Danielle, Katherine, Christopher, Ryan, McKayla and Alex, his siblings, Richard (Suzanne) Rasmussen, Nancy (Emory) Dorst, Thomas (Deb) Rasmussen, several nieces, nephews and cousins. His parents preceded him in death.
Funeral services are at Noon Monday, October 30, 2017 at Henke-Clarson Funeral Home, 1010 North Wright Road, Janesville. Chaplain Jim Wehrheim will officiate. Burial will be in Milton Lawns Memorial Park with military rites conducted by Kienow-Hilt V.F.W. Post # 1621. Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until Noon Monday at Henke-Clarson Funeral Home.
